Wyoming Education System Profile

The Wyoming Department of Education's mission is to Create Opportunities for Students to Keep Wyoming Strong with a vision to significantly increase the percentage of Wyoming students who are college, career, and military ready by 2020. Focusing in five key areas—improving school performance, involvement in career and technical education pathways, the Hathaway Success Curriculum, third-grade reading proficiency, and involvement with online learning opportunities—the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is working to fulfill its mission. Through the collaborative projects with NCCC, Wyoming is moving its vision forward.

The goal is to provide school leaders -- living and working in underserved rural areas -- with access to regional, state and national experts, addressing topics they are interested in exploring with an opportunity to discuss challenges pertinent to their work.
