Year 5 will include ongoing training and support for the Nebraska and South Dakota cohorts. This will include training new cohort members in Modules 1‐6 and training all cohort members in three new academic language modules. NCCC will continue to use surveys to measure knowledge and skills for engaging ELL students. Cohorts will also resume their advisory work on state specific needs, as identified by Title III Directors in collaboration with NCCC.
NCCC will provide additional professional development and coaching, conduct demonstration teaching and co‐teaching sessions in four pilot schools, and collect data to monitor teacher practice through implementation logs and observations (on‐site and virtual) in Year 5. NCCC will produce a report on lessons learned to inform decisions about scaling up the pilot at each participating SEA and to inform the Comprehensive Center network.
