Building Capacity to Support English Learner Academic Success

NCCC Project Supports: In collaboration with the NE, ND, and SD SEAs, NCCC will: 1) train cohort members in ND to increase knowledge of discourse strategies; 2) collaborate with SEAs to develop instructional “Look Fors” that principals can use to guide classroom observations of teachers that serve EL students; 3) collaborate with SEAs to develop a parent infographic that explains the EL identification, parent notification, programming, and exit process;  4) assist SEAs in efforts to implement ESSA-driven processes; and 5) coach the NE cohort towards sustainability.
